"Not Well" is my baby. It's something that I started on a whim and never expected to grow into something so special. When I saw that person in the Panera and shouted "she's not doing well", I had no idea that it would lead to the creation of a podcast that has become such a huge part of my life.
At first, my co-host Jim and I were just winging it, talking about gay issues and trying to make each other laugh. But as we continued, we realized that we had a platform to talk about important issues that affected our community. We brought in "the Miz" for a year, but unfortunately, things didn't work out and we had to part ways. But that's okay, because I still have love for "The Miz" and he is still a friend of mine.
Now, we're focusing on video content and expanding our reach on YouTube. We talk about gay issues, politics, pop culture, and news - whatever is on our minds. We use TikTok to start conversations and engage with our audience. And you know what? It feels amazing to be able to create something that resonates with people.
It's not always easy, and there are times when I feel like we're not getting the recognition we deserve. Trying to get the word "gay podcast" in everything I post just so we can be searched on google, and the disappointment of falling through interviews. But I know that if we stay consistent, our big break will come. I just want to create, and I hope that by sharing my story, it will encourage others to do the same.
So, hey, I'm Bobby, the creator and host of "Not Well". I hope you'll join us on this journey and introduce yourself on the message board. Let's talk, laugh, and make a difference together.
